James Onen known professionally as Fatboy, a Ugandan radio presenter on the radio station 88.2 Sanyu FM, has been nominated in the fifth edition of AFRIMMA Awards & Music Festival.
Fatboy was nominated in the “RADIO/TV PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR” category.
Onen hosts the Saturday morning “Alive and Kicking” radio show and is co-presenter of the weekday radio program “Sanyu Breakfast.”
He is up against Willy Tuva – Kenya, Lil Ommy – Tanzania, Do2dtun- Nigeria, Yaw- Nigeria, Jamal Gaddafi- Kenya, Afonso Quintas – Angola, Sammy Forson- Ghana, Dj Fresh – South Africa and Konnie Toure- Ivory Coast.
On November 2, 2019, African stars will descend in Dallas, Texas again to celebrate the fifth edition of Afrimma.

Uganda’s video director Sasha Vybz has been nominated in the Best Video Director category.
BET award winner and Ugandan artist Eddy Kenzo has been nominated in the “Best Male East Africa” category.
New sensation on the block Veronica Luggya aka Vinka, Sheebah Karungi, Rema Namakula and Juliana Kanyomozi have all been nominated in the “Best Female East Africa” category.
