Muntu: We didn’t leave Museveni, he left us

Mugisha Muntu

Former army commander now founder of The Alliance for National Transformation [ANT] Party says they never betrayed President Museveni but it was him who betrayed those that followed him to the bush.

Muntu was last Friday interacting with locals at Buvuma Island on Lake Victoria in his upcountry grassroot meetings to address Uganda’s development dilemma.

Muntu was escorted by the Women’s League National Coordinator Amb. Edith Grace Ssempala, aspiring Woman MP Buvuma, Susan Nakaziba Migadde and other party officials.

Through his discussion with the locals, he explained why they had to part ways with President Museveni.

”Many people keep asking why we left Museveni. The truth of the matter is that it is Gen. Museveni who left us.”

He added: “We went to the bush to fight for certain ideals and it is those same ideals that we are still fighting for. He on the other hand, no longer cares about them.”

Muntu further explained that in every generation, citizens have a choice between allowing to be silenced and working towards their dreams.
