President Yoweri Museveni has Tuesday commissioned roads under the Uganda support to municipality infrastructure development.
The programme is designed to enhance institutional performance to improve urban service delivery.
On Monday, Museveni was at Nteyera primary school grounds, Kyankwanzi town council, Kyankwanzi District, continuing his wealth and job creation crusade.
He spoke to the people of greater Mubende zone, which comprises the districts of Kyankwanzi, Kiboga, Mityana, Mubende.
The reason for this campaign is to encourage those that already have enterprises from which they earn income and to urge those that are still in the subsistence economy to abandon it and embrace the money economy, he said.
“For example, the cattle keeping community in Kyankwanzi District, need to engage in dairy farming that has high yields in milk, by introducing improved cattle breeds in your farms thus getting more milk for sell. Those in agriculture should adopt the four-acre model.”
He thanked the people of greater Mubende for supporting him during the liberation.
“I also thank you for supporting the NRM in the previous elections and also for being receptive to the wealth creation message.”
