“When we come to politics, some people think our mission is to change leaders. I tell you what needs to change are the people themselves. Our struggle is to change your lives. When people change, the leaders must change”, Kizza Besigye said.
He emphasised that currently, Ugandans live like refugees in their own land, a situation he said must change.
“What we need to change is the refugee Ugandan to become an owner of Uganda! How do we transform from being slaves/refugees in our country to become Masters of our country?” Besigye asked.
