President Kagame has arrived at Amahoro Stadium where he joins thousands of Rwandans, Friends of Rwanda, Presidents of Sierra Leone, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Central African Republic, Namibia, Togo, VP of Nigeria, PM of Tanzania, Deputy PM of Uganda for Liberation Day Celebrations.
Over 25 thousand Rwandans and friends of Rwanda are now gathering at the Amahoro National Stadium to mark the 25th anniversary of Liberation.
Held every year on 4 July, #Kwibohora25 marks the day the Rwandan Patriotic Army stopped the Genocide against the Tutsi.
Held under the theme “Together We Prosper,” this year’s celebration is an opportunity to recommit to Rwanda’s vision for a peaceful, united, prosperous and self-reliant nation.
Heads of State and Government and other distinguished guests have arrived at the Amahoro Stadium for #Kwibohora25.
They include: President Faustin Archange Touadera of Central Africa Republic, President Emmerson Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe, President Hage Geingob of Namibia.
Others are; President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe of Togo, President Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone, President Dr. Mokgweetsi Eric Masisi of Botswana and H.E Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Vice President of Nigeria.
Also present are: Hon Kassim Majaliwa, Prime Minister of Tanzania, and Louise Mushikiwabo, Sec. Gen. of La Francophonie and Dr Kirunda Kivejinja, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister EAC Affairs of Uganda.
