Museveni shakes CMI, names Col Ddamulira crime intelligence boss

President Museveni has reshuffled Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence [CMI] officials and transferred some to head police units.

CMI headed by Brig Abel Kandiho is the intelligence unit of the army which reinforces police in fighting crime.

The president has transferred deputy CMI Col Sserunjogi Ddamulira to police as Director Crime Intelligence.

Col Julius Mbiene who has been the Director Administration at CMI is now appointed deputy in charge of Counter Intelligence replacing Ddamulira.

Brigadier Golooba has been appointed Director Human Resource and Training with Col Kamunanwire as his deputy in charge of administration.

Brig Jackson Bakashumba, a former Commander of Singo Peace Support Operations Training Centre has been appointed Chief of Staff of Police.

Col Gonyi has been moved from Somalia to CMI as Director of Collection and Acting Director Land Forces.

Col Muwanga has been named director of the newly created Counter Terrorism Centre.
