Mzei Donozio Tibaingana, the father to MP Hon. Francis Mwijukye was Wednesday laid to rest in Bwoga Village, Buhweju District.

Mwijukye is the FDC Deputy Treasurer General incharge of fundraising and Parliamentary Commissioner.

Mzee Tibeingana succumbed to cancer of Oesophagus last Sunday.

Mourners eulogised the late Tibeingana as a God-fearing person and also credited him for raising children through hardship and being able to take them through school and nurture them into leaders.

Several dignitaries attended the send-off ceremony of Mzee Tibeingana  included; People ‘s President HE Rtd Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye Kifefe,  FDC Party President Hon. Eng. Patrick Amuriat Oboi,  Leader of Minority in Parliament who also doubles as Gulu District Woman MP Rt. Hon.  Betty Aol Ocan, Jeema Party President also Bugiri Municipality MP Hon. Asuman Basalirwa, Kyadondo East MP Hon. Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Bobi Wine, FDC Secretary General also Budadiri West MP Rt. Hon. Nathan Nandala Mafabi, FDC Deputy President In charge of western region who also doubles as Busongora North MP Hon. Mushabe William Nzoghu, FDC Secretary for mobilisation and organisation Hon. Ingrid Turinawe, Kawempe South MP Hon. Munyagwa Mubarak.

Others included; Rujumbura county MP Hon.Fred Turyamuhweza,  Rukungiri District Woman MP Hon. Betty Bamukwatsa Muzanira, Mityana Municipality MP  Hon Zaake Francis Butebi, Kashaari county North MP Nathan Itungo, Ntungamo District woman MP Hon. Beatrice Rwakimaari among several MPs and Parliament staff , others are Hon. Plan Virginia Mugyenyi, Mzee Wycliffe Bakanonda, Margaret Wokuri Madanda, Kasese District LCV Chairman Bigogo and Walid Lubega FDC National Youth League.

Besigye as the chief mourner, in his address, recognised Zonobio as a great man.  He called for unity.

Fruit trees were planted at the home of Mzee Zonobio at Bwoga Hill top and at the home of Hon. Mwijukye in line with FDC tradition of planting trees in memory of deceased.

The requiem mass was led by the new catholic Bishop of Ankole Diocese.
