Health minister says the five-year-old boy who was diagnosed with Ebola in Kasese district has died.
Dr Jane Aceng announced that the first case of Ebola in the country on Tuesday night.
She told reporters at Bwera Hospital on Wednesday that the child who was admitted, died on Tuesday night.
Aceng said samples taken from two more people have also tested positive, bringing the number of confirmed cases to three.
Both are relatives to five-year old who was first diagnosed with the disease on Tuesday.
Aceng said a total of seven  suspects are currently being monitored.
Ministry officials and partners are in Bwera, Kasese to assess the situation.
Ebola last broke out in Uganda in 2012. It left over 20 people dead.
