A bus belonging to Gaaga Company Wednesday knocked an elephant in Murchison Falls National Park leaving eight of its occupants injured.
The accident happened at about 11:40pm after Pakwach Bridge on the Karuma- Pakwach Highway in Got Apwoyo Sub-county, Nwoya District.
According to reports, the elephant was crossing the Karuma-Pakwach highway from Murchison Falls National Park.
The bus knocked it dead. Twaha Karim, the bus driver, is among those admitted at Arua Hospital and Pakwach Hospital.
The injured are; Dr Christine Mpora, David Kizito, Derrick Rwothongeyo, Mohammad Ssegerinya, Sandra Aweka, and Oruma Franscesca.
