Ruparelia family wishes Muslims happy Eid-El-Fitr festivities


The Ruparelia family has congratulated the Muslim Community upon successful completion of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

“The Ruparelia family wishes you happy Eid-El-Fitr festivities. Wishing all Muslims here and around the world a happy Eid-El-Fitr,” the family said in a statement.

“May Allah accept your fast, & May the blessings of the festive season follow you in the days ahead.”

Eid al-Fitr prayers have been held in various mosques across the country.

Eid al Fitr is the first day of the Islamic month of Shawwal and it marks the end of Ramadhan, which is a month of fasting and prayer.

Ramadhan is normally observed for 29 or 30 days depending on lunar calendar which consists of 12 months of 354 or 355 days.

The prayers mark the end of Ramadhan and usher in a new month of Shawwal.

“Let us emulate the commitment of the martyrs to their faith and keep our promise to the people of Uganda,” Dr Sudhir Ruparelia, the head of the Ruparelia family said.
