Eight members of Rwanda’s cultural dance troupe Inganzo Ngari have disappeared in New York.
They had gone to America on tour since May 15.
The team was 20, but only 12 members returned, according to local media.
Inganzo Ngari is considered the top local troupe often gracing major events.
As we gathered, the dancers had gone for the Brooklyn Academy of Music gala that is held annually.
Before leaving for America, they were made to swear that they would return to Kigali no matter what.
It is said to escape worsening conditions in the neighbouring nation, the dancers might have sought asylum.
