Swangz Avenue says its diva Veronica Luggya aka Vinka has signed a recording contract with Sony Music Africa.
“I am glad to announce that I have joined the Sony Music Africa Family!” Vinka announced on her Facebook page.
“Thanks to my family @swangzavenue_official for believing in me since Day One and everyone else that has ever believed in me and loved Vinka!!”
In response, Swangz Avenue said: “Congratulations Vinka upon your exclusive recording contract with Sony. We are so proud of you and what we have achieved so far in just 2 years.”
It added: “We are very excited to have Sony joining hands with us to propel your brand to new heights. This new partnership is evidence that you haven’t put a foot wrong since you started and we are committed to even do more with this new development.”
Vero Luggya (Veronica), known professionally as Vinka is a graduate of Makerere university with a bachelor’s degree in tourism.
She was an artist manager to singer Irene Ntale during her stay at the Muyenga based record label, Swangz Avenue.
Vinka fell out with Irene Ntale after the release of their joint song ‘Stylo’ is now a music artist and has released a number of hit singles like ‘Malaika’, ‘Only Love You’, ‘In The Mood’ and ‘Overdose’.
Swangz Avenue boss Julius Kyazze said Vinka is the most trolled artiste.
A reggae singer, she is known for songs like Chips Na Ketchup , Mapozi , among others.
Sony Music Entertainment Africa is the local arm of Sony Music Entertainment, an American music corporation owned and controlled by Sony Corporation of America, the US subsidiary of Japan’s Sony Corporation.
