King Oyo slims cabinet to 16 ministers

King Oyo in campaign to save River Mpanga

His Majesty Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, King of Tooro Kingdom on Friday reshuffled his cabinet and cut down the ministers from 33 to 16.

The UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador for Youth and youngest reigning monarch said in a statement shared by the Kingdom that this will ensure effective service delivery.

“Save River Mpanga Now”

On Saturday 11th May at 9 am, Oyo officially launched the “Save River Mpanga Now” campaign at Mpanga Market bridge.

He commended all youth who have commenced clearing of the River ahead of “Save River Mpanga Now”.

Together with other leaders in Fort Portal, Oyo joined the exercise encouraging planting a tree, properly disposing plastics and being on the watch for the environment generally.

Kisembo with the King

Bishop of Ruwenzori diocese Rt Rev Reuben Kisembo Amooti on Sunday hailed His Royal Majesty for the conservation campaign he has launched to save the environment in the kingdom.

This was during the Sunday service here in Fort Portal.
