President Museveni has returned home from Pretoria where he attended the inauguration ceremony of His Excellency Cyril Ramaphosa as President of South Africa.
At the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria ceremony, Museveni congratulated His Excellency Ramaphosa and the ANC party for the victory and the magnificent function.
Uganda and South Africa have a long, deep political and economic bond, “which we hope to strengthen with the new government”.
In Pretoria, Museveni also met the Rwandan President Paul Kagame and had a chat with him.
The meeting happened amid an incident back home where Rwandan soldiers shot and killed two people including a Ugandan in Rukiga district.
Rwanda has since denied the claim saying the two smugglers were killed in Nyagatare district and had attacked their officers with machetes.
