Police arrests Kibuule’s servants over twins drowning

Police has started investigating the drowning of twin boys fathered by State Water Minister Ronald Kibuule in a swimming pool at home.

Roman Kato and Rayden Wasswa, 2, died on Monday evening at a time Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras were off.

Neither the security guards nor the two maids who looked after the kids know how exactly the incident happened.

Kibuule and his wife, Fortunate, also the mother of the twins, were away from the palatial Mbalala home along Kampala-Jinja highway at the time of the accident.

Kibuule was in Kampala while Fortunate had gone to pay workers at a construction site in Namataba.

Police arrested two male domestic servants for questioning and took the corpses to the City Mortuary in Mulago, Kampala for embalming.

Mukono District Police Commander, Rogers Seguya, visited the home and inspected the swimming pool and is trying to establish whether the surveillance cameras had malfunctioned.

President Museveni and Speaker Rebecca Kadaga are among those who have called to condole with the family.
