Police in Kiboga town has interrupted and attempted to disperse an FDC leadership meeting which Party President Patrick Oboi Amuriat and Secretary for Mobilisation Ingrid Turinawe were conducting in town.
“This is only a replica of what they have done everywhere FDC and People’s Government officials have gone,” the party said in a statement.
It added: “Kiboga is a mess now. People have taken matters in their own hands. Teargas and bullets all over Kiboga. As of now, change is unavoidable, the country is on a time bomb!”
In Nebbi town, High Court nullified the election and victory of NRM’s Hashim Rashid as the dully elected Member of Parliament for Nebbi Municipality Constituency.
This follows a successful petition filled by FDC’s Onega Robert which challenged the authenticity of the academic papers of NRM’s Hashim Rashid and rigging.
Police responded by arresting the winner Onega in an attempt to block jubilation in Nebbi town and beating up jubilant supporters.
On Wednesday night, police booted Amuriat and Ingrid out of studios of a Hoima radio station which they had even booked for Shs1m.
