President Kaguta Museveni has donated Shs20m towards the 2019 edition of the “Kabaka Run”.
The money has been delivered by singer Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool and promoter Balaam Barugahara to Vision Group CEO Robert Kabushenga.
Museveni has joined participants of the #KabakaRun2019 in fighting against Sickle Cell disease by donating Shs20m towards the cause.
Over 2,000 kits have been purchased with the money and these kits are to be distributed to different areas.
Kabushenga to whom the money was delivered Wednesday says Museveni’s donation is the biggest offer he has received towards the drive since he started participating in organising the run.
“If you happen to be or stay in the areas of Bukoto, Kamwokya, Kitintale, Bwaise, Kasubi, Salaama road, Kiwatule or Ntinda, we hope luck meets you and you get a free #Kabakabirthdayrun kit courtesy of President Museveni,” Kabushenga said.
The run is expected to bring together all Ugandans, in the fight against Sickle Cell disease.
“If not busy, H.E is EXPECTED to participate in the #KabakaRun2019,” Balaam said.
On his part, Bebe Cool invited all Ugandans for the run, which is geared towards the fight against Sickle cell disease.
For five years in a row, the Kabaka Birthday Run has been successfully organized by the Buganda Kingdom in partnership with telecommunications giants Airtel Uganda.
