On Wednesday, legendary Congolese lingala star Awilo Longomba returned to Uganda since 1998 ahead of his much anticipated concert on 5th April at Kampala Serena hotel.
He will hold his second concert on 7th April at the Greenlight Stadium in Onduparaka in Arua town.
To the Ugandans that danced sweaty to Awilo Longomba’s music in the mid-1990s, the legendary Congolese star promised an unforgettable show this Friday.
He expects his fans to show up in large numbers and reminisce the memories of African original lingala, zouk and kizumba dances.
Tickets will go for Shs100,000 General; Shs4M a Table of 10 and Shs400,000 for 1 VIP Table seat.
Club Illusion Kampala says it will host the official afterparty for Awilo Longomba “going down this week for #futurefridays special edition!”

Awilo Longomba is a Congolese musician who was a drummer in Viva la Musica, Stukas, Nouvelle Generation and Loketo.
In 1995, he finally quit drumming for singing and released his first album Moto Pamba with help from Shimita, Ballou Canta, Dindo Yogo, Dally Kimoko, Sam Mangwana, Syran Mbenza and Rigo Star.
