State minister for Youth Affairs Hon Nakiwala Kiyingi has offered to pay school fees for youngest rapper Patrick Ssenyonjo aka Fresh Kid until he finishes primary seven [P.7].
This was revealed in a meeting between the minister, the toddler rapper and his managers in Kampala on Tuesday.
“My now friend, minister bagged me 5m….pledged paying my fees till P.7. Thanks,” Fresh Kid said after the meeting.
The Shs5m was an offer to help Fresh Kid shoot a video for his new song ”Bambi”.
Bambi was composed specifically to plead with Nakiwala to allow the young rapper making a living instead of subjecting him to drug tests and banning him from performing.
Renowned producer Sasha Vybes had earlier offered to shoot Fresh Kid’s video for free.
During Tuesday’s meeting, minister Nakiwala promised to pay for his school fees up to P.7.
She apologised to his management led by manger Francis Kamoga.
She finally allowed Fresh kid to go on with his performances on condition that he attends school.
He has also been asked to post satisfactory results at the end of every year.
“Thanks Minister for finally coming back to your senses and seeing the reality,” the baby said after the meeting.
“Books first and music forever….. The hustle continues….Thank to those who stood with me, us….,” he added.
