ICT minister Aidah Nantaba has snubbed summons by the by the director of criminal investigations directorate concerning the murder of Ronald Ssebulime.
Ssebulime was shot and killed in cold blood on the suspicion that he was trailing Nantaba was the intention of assassinating her.
Police Spokesperson, Fred Enanga, later apologised saying patrol police lied to them and that Ssebulime was riding to school to visit his children.
In a police letter, Nantaba was invited for an interview and statement recording on March 28at Kibuli CID headquarters concerning the murder of Ssebulime.
She wrote back to CID explaining that President Museveni had instructed her not to leave her home.
“Note, however, that am unable to report in person having been directed by His Excellency the president to confine within my premises until he himself instructs otherwise,” Nantaba wrote.
“In such circumstances, am constrained to travel to Kibuli CID headquarters as you requested.”
She added: “But you may in the meantime consider visiting my premises to recorded the required statement.”
