Two people have died and 13 others sustained injuries in an accident that happened in Kabale district.
According to police, a vehicle Reg no UAX 486X Scania bus white/blue in colour owned by Trinity Bus Company collided with a Semi-Trailer Reg no Bu D 7720A Mercedes Benz red/blue in colour.
The Driver of the Semi-trailer left his lane and was driving on the right where he met a Trinity bus from Kabale side on its lane and knocked it head on.
The trailer driver one Kalakwa Anthony died on spot and the bus driver one Mwaka Michael also died on spot.
Twelve  out of 54 passengers in the bus sustained serious Injuries and one passenger in the trailer (Turn man).
A total of thirteen people were injured in this accident. They are all admitted at Kabale Regional Referral Hospital.

The bodies of the deceased persons were taken to Kabale Referral Mortuary for Post-mortem.
Both M/vehicles were towed to Cps Kabale pending IOV Inspection.
This occurred at Kyonyo along Kabale-Katuna road on the 16/02/2019 at around 0400hrs.
He cause of the accident, according to police, is careless driving by the trailer driver who was driving on the right at the time of the accident.
Inspector of Police [IP] Muyambi Andrew visited the scene of the accident with traffic police.
