Gaming board seizes 50 slot machines in Ntungamo

The Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board (LGRB) is currently enforcing against illegal slot machine operators in Ntugamo district.

So far over 50 machines have been impounded and will be destroyed within a months’ time.

The Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board (LGRB) is a body corporate established under the Lotteries and Gaming Act No. 7 of 2016.

The Board is mandated by law to supervise and regulate the establishment, management and operation of lotteries, gaming betting and casinos in Uganda, and to protect the citizens from the adverse effects of gaming and betting in Uganda.

In relation to the above mandate therefore, the Board is currently enforcing against illegal slot machine operators in Ntugamo district.

So far over 50 machines have been impounded and will be destroyed within a months’ time.

“The Board would like to therefore call upon the general public to report any illegal gaming operations in their neighbourhoods, municipalities and towns to NGB (toll free 0800100090 or email to info@ngb.go.ug),” management said in a statement.
