Authorities are still investigating a group of unknown machete men who attacked a village in Apaa, hacked four people and set 13 huts on fire.
The disputed Apaa land borders Amuru and Adjumani districts.
It is suspected the attackers were from the Acholi community who Wednesday attacked their Madi community neighbours near Ngoro River in Zoka Centre, Mgbai Village, in Itirikwa Sub-county.
The attackers, according to victims, were wielding machete, spears, bows and arrows.
The injured are; Peter Iranya, Michael Mawadri, Tobias Amadruaku and Fred Edema Longonda who sustained cuts in the back, head and legs.
They are admitted at Adjumani Hospital.
This happened in the same week UPDF promised to deploy a battalion to the area.
President Museveni’s while speaking in Kitgum District on Wednesday said local leaders were fuelling the conflict while seeking cheap popularity.
Tension over the land escalated between the Madi and Acholi in October 2017 after Local Government minister Tom Butime officially handed over Apaa to Adjumani District officials in Labala Parish under heavy security deployment.
