When the struggle is over,

We shall wear the victor’s crown.

We shall walk with swag in the new Uganda.

The song which manifests hope for a new Uganda features politicians like Bugiri MP Asuman Basalirwa, singer Ronald Mayinga, the common man, boda boda men, traffic officers who all work together towards a better Uganda.

The song condemns land grabbing, discrimination, teargas, impunity, corruption and bribery, heavy taxes, poor education system, nepotism and election malpractice.

In the new Uganda, which he calls the Promised Land, all you need a national identity card to speak for yourself.

Soldiers won’t harass the people because “people power” will have won. Power will be in the hands of the people, there will be justice and no more gun-rule.

Pastor Bugembe previously appeared in the Tubonga Nawe song which was a campaign song for President Museveni in 2016.

But in this song, Bugembe calls for unity between those wearing yellow with those putting on red—saying “we are one people”.

Farmers will find market for their produce, as sung by King Saha who also featured in Tubonga Nawe song.

Hospitals will be built and stocked with medicine so that no more women die in child labour, as sung by Irene Ntale.

The 4:32-minute video was directed by Kim XP and produced by Dan Magic.

The video which was on Tuesday posted by Bobi Wine on his Facebook and YouTube pages has been widely shared on various social media platforms.
