One Wiseman once said that even a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step and for the newlywed couple of Mr. and Mrs. Musa and Patience Akankwatsa, their love story and journey isn’t dissimilar from what is in the above saying.
Musa Akankwatsa and Patience Orishaba (now the Akankwatsa’s) met at Kyambogo University about seven years ago where they were both studying.
After, a lecture, Patience who was sitting behind Musa had the temerity to ask her would be future husband for more clarification about what had been taught.
Musa, whose academic trail speaks of a brilliant, quick and sharp learner, had fully digested the day’s content and didn’t dither to discuss for Patience when he was requested to
What started as a small matter in class, morphed into regular and routine discussions whose climax was an imposing wedding ceremony that was held on December 29th 2018 at Musa’s ancestral home in Nyaruzinga village, Numba village Bumbaire Bushenyi.
On a seemingly chilly morning, the two lovebirds, their parents, close relatives and the entourage embarked on a short journey that would lead them to Saint Peter’s Cathedral, Bweranyangi in Bushenyi where Musa and Patience vowed to love and cherish each other for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, till death does them apart.
These vows were administered by the Dean of the Cathedral, The Very Venerable Rev Canon Wilson Tumuheirwe.
Later, the couple treated their invited guests to a sumptuous luncheon at their home whose menu comprised of copious quantities of delicious local foods and drinks.
As stated in Proverbs that, He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favour from the LORD, ONE COULDN’T MISS TO SEE MUSA SMILING FROM EAR TO EAR FOR HE HAD FOUND A GOOD THING IN PATIENCE.
