Gagamel singer Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool says he cannot feel for Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine when he [Bobi] doesn’t feel anything for him [Bebe].
Bebe made the remarks on Saturday while appearing on “The Capital Gang”, a political show hosted by Capital Radio.
He was appearing with Kampala Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago, Makerere university law don Robert Kirunda and former diplomat, Lydia Wanyoto Mutende.
“I would say I am a personal friend or son to the president, but I apply for permission,” Bebe Cool said.
He asked lawyer Kirunda what his comment was when crowds pelted bottles at him on stage during the Tarrus Riley concert.
“I didn’t ever hear anyone, the Lord mayor and #TheCapitalGang talk about me when those fans had pelted bottles at me, because I also make a living off music.”
He went on: Why do you want me to feel for Bobi Wine when he doesn’t feel for me?”
Bebe Cool said the best way to look at it, is he went and got the letters from police clearing his Kiwatule show. He has since been blamed for getting President Museveni’s endorsement while Bobi Wine’s show was blocked on the same day in Busabala.

How do you go ahead and advertise before clearing, Bebe Cool wondered, having said earlier that Bobi Wine’s organisers failed him.
Responding to Bobi Wine’s assertion that Museveni paid musicians to compose Tubonga Nawe song to brainwash Ugandans, Bebe Cool said:
“We were a group of musicians who gave a proposal to the president who accepted it hence Tubonga Nawe. That was the president giving us a chance to make some money.”
Bebe Cool said for as long as Bobi lives, to him he is Bobi not Hon Kyagulanyi.
“I use all my tools. I ask that you guys excuse my music game from politics.”
Turning to Lukwago, Bebe Cool told the mayor to do work his office was created for and stop politicking.
“I think you need to put more time in KCCA than politics with FDC. I want my mayor to fix roads.”
He added: “For all the time I have known the mayor he is either fighting with the president or someone else.”
