Uganda Immigration has issued an apology for the laziness of its staff exhibited at Entebbe International airport.
In a statement, the Ministry of Internal Affairs cited an unfortunate incident on Monday where passengers arrived at Entebbe immigration counters only to find them empty.
Immigration said it had commenced investigations and will ensure appropriate disciplinary action against immigration officers who will be found culpable.
It has also put in place new measures to ensure that something like this doesn’t happen again.
“To all our esteemed clients, this is an official statement in regards to the unfortunate incident at Entebbe International Airport.”
“We would like to remind all our clients that applications for visas are submitted and paid for online. We appreciate the vigilance in this matter which will enable us to serve you our clients better.”
