Mityana Municipality MP, Francis Zaake has reported to the CID headquarters in Kibuli for questioning on treason charges.
Zaake was supposed to report last week but failed to show up over his poor health conditions, according to his lawyer Nicholas Opiyo.
The letter signed by the director criminal investigations, AIGP Grace Akullo, summoned Zaake to Kibuli to make a statement regarding what transpired in Arua.
The legislator who just returned home after treatment in India, is accused of treason and unlawful escape from custody while being treated at Gulu hospital.
Zaake was arrested alongside Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi popularly known as Bobi Wine and 33 other suspects over allegations of stoning President Museveni’s motorcade on August 13.
Today, Gulu Chief Magistrates Court adjourned the treason case to January 10, 2019.
