According to police records, sexy Joint Anti-Terrorist Task Force [JATT] operative ASP Pamela Kentaro, was in the Kenyan coastal town Mombasa for training.
Social media was awash Thursday with reports that she had been planted to spy on Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine.
Kentaro in a social media message denied the charge, explaining that it was actually Bobi Wine who called her and chatted with her but it had nothing to do with espionage.
A letter dated September 12, 2018 from Anti-Corruption Court to the Inspector General of Police [IGP], Okoth Ochola, confirms the development.
According to the letter, Kentaro was among nominated police officers to attend a training workshop on AML/CFT information exchange in Mombasa.
Justice Tibulya Margaret, the deputy head of anti-corruption division said she recommended the officers to participate in the training workshop held in Mombasa Kenya on September 17 to 19.
Other nominated officers who travelled with Kentaro include; D/SP Komurubuga George, D/IP Mulumba Herbert, D/IP Ogenmungu Lawrence and D/AIP Kyenda Joseph.
“It’s quite absurd that a lot of negativity is being spread about me having been planted as a spy on Hon Kyagulanyi,” she said in a statement.
She added: “Bobi and I have been friends from way back and he knows that I am a police officer. On Thursday I met him at JKIA (Jomo Kenyatta International Airport). I was from traveling from Mombasa and him from America. I didn’t travel to the US as alleged.”
Kentaro said it was Bobi Wine who was first saw her at the cafeteria and asked her to join him at the table with his brother called Dax.
“We chatted for close to two hours while waiting for our flight to Entebbe. On the plane, he (Bobi) sat next to Hon Winnie Kizza and he asked that I sit across on the other side of the aisle near him.”
Kentaro is currently in Traffic Police following changes made by IGP Okoth Ochola last month.
