Reports from United States of America indicate that Kyadondo East legislator Robert Sentamu Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine is on his way back to Uganda.
Eight hours ago, he checked out of Boston Logan International Airport destined for DXB-Dubai.
This site has established that Bobi Wine travelled on the same flight with Bukedde TV presenter Flavia Namulindwa.
This is in earlier contrast that the legislator was to board his flight home later this evening.
We are told the “People Power” social media team led by one Patricia Ssewungu who lives in the United Kingdom [UK] and is the muscle behind the ‘ekikade’ annual music Gala, have been tasked to trick security about the actual time that Bobi Wine will be flying in.
Patricia is the sister to Hon Ssewungu Joseph Gonzaga, the Kalungu County West.
In her latest post, she jotted that ‘Tentative tomorrow’s program. At exactly 11am the lion will land at Entebbe international airport using the VIP Section. At 11:30am- 3:30 pm, procession from Entebbe to Kasangati town council and finally prayers will commence at Wampewo grounds. Lunch will be served. People Power’.
Unless the Dubai stop over includes a further lull in time to meet the Ugandan community there, Bobi Wine is expected to be in the country by 11pm later today.
However, it should be noted that the Civil Aviation Authority is privy of all flight details and passengers going through Entebbe and thus security is monitoring all flights in a bid to have Bobi Wine follow their guide lines.
The Uganda Police Force said earlier it received confirmation that Bobi Wine is slated to arrive in the country tomorrow, Thursday 20th, 2018 via Entebbe International Airport.
In a video message to supporters, Bobi Wine promised to explain people power when he comes home on Thursday.
“People power is not Bobi Wine. It is everyone who is struggling to escape oppression. I am just the voice of millions of Ugandans who want freedom. We are not a violent group and despise violence.”
The police and other security agencies have intelligence of country wide mobilization of different groups of people who are being distributed with Red T-Shirts and posters calling upon them to participate in processions and assemblies to receive the Hon. MP.
Bobi said President Museveni and his lieutenants are trying to project “people power” as violent so “they can shoot us. They have printed red t-shirts and are planning to plant them among us”.
According to police spokesperson, Emilian Kayima, on his arrival, the Hon. MP will be received at Entebbe International Airport by his immediate family.
He will be availed security from the airport to his home. Police will further ensure law and order for all road users. There shall be no unlawful rallies, processions and assemblies.
Any activity that entails a public gathering must be in conformity with the provisions of Public Order Management Act (POMA).
