Yesterday October 10, 2018, the lady that was assassinated along with ASP Muhammad Kirumira was buried at Mpenja, Gomba District at 4:00 pm.
Rest Nalinya was a mobile money agent in Bulenga.
The Uganda Police Force was fully represented to support the family in these trying moments.
“We sent our heartfelt condolences to the family, her children that became orphans at the hands of criminal elements,” said police spokesperson Emilian Kayima.
“The Uganda Police Force condemns these acts of criminality and promise to hunt down criminals and bring them to book. May the good Lord rest her in perpetual peace.”
Meanwhile, Kirumira’s family says they are still being trailed by unknown persons, according to Uganda Radio Network.
Their anxiety was reignited on Monday evening when a yet to be identified man who was masquerading as a Uganda People’s Defence Force’s-UPDF Officer at the rank of Major was arrested from the deceased’s home in Bulenga, Wakiso District.
The arrest comes a day after the burial of the outspoken police officer, whose life was gruesomely ended on Saturday night.
