The military on Tuesday raided a meeting in Kamwokya, a Kampala suburb, and dispersed a group of people who are allied to Kyadondo East MP, Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine.
The meeting was reportedly to plan for the return and reception of Bobi Wine who is currently receiving treatment in the US.
A group youth wearing T-shirts inscribed with the slogan “People Power, Our Power” were seen placing pro-Bobi Wine posters in the neighbourhood.
Police and the army moved in, dispersed them and arrested their leaders.
The ringleader was identified as Ibrahim Agaba who was found with “People Power” t-shirts and posters.
Agaba is being held at Kira Road Police Station on charges of inciting violence.
Earlier, Bobi Wine’s bodyguard Eddie Ssebuufu alias Eddie Mutwe was produced in Gulu chief magistrates court and charged with treason.
He has been remanded to Gulu main prison until October 1.
Mutwe, his boss, other MPs and 32 others were charged with treason for stoning President Museveni’s car.
