First daughter Natasha Karugire will today premiere her war memoir “27 Guns” at Metropole Cinema in Naalya at 4pm.
The story which features her father and president Museveni retells the bush war struggle that ushered the current regime into power.
On February 6, 1981, a small group of fighters, armed with 27 guns and pistols attacked Kabamba military barracks launching an armed struggle against the late Apollo Milton Obote’s government.
President Yoweri Museveni, who led the bush war will be Chief Guest.
The historical movie was produced by the first daughter, Natasha Karugire and her sister, Diana Museveni Kamuntu will star in it, playing the role of her mother, Mrs Janet Museveni.
Playing the character of the youthful president (Museveni) is actor Arnold Mubangizi while Sezi Jedediah Nuwewenka plays a young Salim Saleh (Gen Caleb Akandwanaho), the president’s brother.
