Nannyonjo Brenda of Kezi entertainment is the holder of Miss Uganda license.
Appearing on NBS “Chatroom”, Brenda said they needed to take a break from organising the beauty pageant because they had a lot going on and a magazine to focus on.
“For one to enter the competition they must have at least an S.6 certificate and should be Ugandan.”
She said there is a class called life after Miss Uganda where they teach the girls how to conduct themselves out there and how to handle media.
Musumba Janat, the coordinator of the pageants, said one of the biggest challenges she has faced is teaching the girls correct English and preparing them to compete on the Miss World level.
“Most of them use slung and this Social Media English. If one is representing Uganda they should be in position to speak the official language (English) fluently.”
