Development Channel, an innovations hub, with the aim of ending poverty and liberating Africa’s economy, is bringing “shortie” Nigerian actors to boost the Uganda movie industry.
This was declared Friday by the company chairman, Charles Lambert, at the company’s offices located in Bukoto, Old Kira Road—opposite MP Bobi Wine’s studio.
The said Nollywood actors are; Osita Iheme widely known for playing ‘Pawpaw’ alongside Chinedu Ikedieze ‘Aki’ in the film “Aki na Ukwa”.
Development Channel handed over two state of the art cameras to renowned award winning actors Mathew Nabwiso and Eleanor Nabwiso.
Lambert said they have also gone ahead to invite Nollywood’s famous acting duo “Aki and Pawpaw” to work with the budding movie industry in Uganda.

Osita Iheme has often been described as one of the best actors of his generation.
He is the founder of Inspired Movement Africa which he founded to inspire, motivate and stimulate the minds of young Nigerians and Africans.
In less than a decade he has gone on to become one of the most in-demand actors in Nollywood.
In 2007, Osita received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the African Movie Academy Awards.
He is considered to be one of Nigeria’s most famous actors. In 2011, he was honored as a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR).
Chinedu Ikedieze, (born 12 December 1977 in Bende, Abia State, Nigeria) in 2007, received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the African Movie Academy Awards.
On Saturday, 26 November 2011, Chinedu Ikedieze wed Nneoma Ikedieze.
