Kidandala bleeding profusely after being stoned

Former Deputy Lord Mayor of Kampala Sulaiman Kidandala was last evening stoned by angry voters in Bugiri municipality.

According to Jeema party, Kidandala was stoned by NRM candidate John Francis Oketcho’s men in the face.

He is admitted at Bugiri Hospital though stable.

The attackers were moving in a green land cruiser Reg. No UAU O70J.

The party alleged that a Toyota Noah Registration number UAV 174J and Toyota Land cruiser Pickup registration number UAU 070J carrying Police Officers with guns was giving security to the NRM team giving out money.

Kidandala is the National Organising Secretary of the Democratic Party and former deputy lord mayor of Kampala.

Kidandala was part of the Asuman Basalirwa Task Force deployed by DP to protect the votes.

Basalirwa is the new Member of Parliament for Bugiri municipality.

He polled 3,476 votes beating his closest rival and NRM candidate John Francis Oketcho who got 2, 894 votes in the Friday election.

Opposition Forum for Democratic Change [FDC] candidate, Eunice Namatende, managed only 830 votes while Joel an independent got 13 votes.
