The Internal Security Organisation (ISO) on Monday paraded four suspects arrested from Busia who claimed to be members of the Forum for Democratic Change party.
The suspects say they have been mobilising for FDC to recruit members for the defiance campaign.
One of them, John Kaseera claims he is a leader within the party.
They confessed to carrying out some devious acts and shared, some of the plans they had including setting ablaze residents of politicians especially those who belong to the NRM party.
The suspects say, they were often approached by people who claimed to be part of the People’s government and they would give them instructions.
They were not clear as to whether they were doing this with the knowledge of the FDC party.
However, ISO also showed two alleged whistleblowers, also claiming to be FDC party members who used to mastermind anonymous letters warning of attacks on villages and residents.
The two singled out Ingrid Turinawe the FDC chief mobiliser and Col. Kizza Besiege, the former party presidential flag bearer.
They mentioned the former IGP Kale Kayihura as having have had a hand in the murders across the country.
However, ISO boss Col. Kaka Bagyenda denied the claims.
Turinawe, the FDC chief mobiliser said that the FDC party activities are conducted lawfully and that government has no evidence against them save for hearsay accounts.
The Director-General for ISO Col. Kaka Bagyenda wants the opposition to apologise to Ugandans.
He says the group was planning to kick off its attacks on Tuesday during the LC1 elections.
While the blame game continues to play on, a question that lingers now is why Ingrid Turinawe and Dr Kizza Besigye have not been locked up if ISO claims to have evidence through these suspects linking the two to these heinous crimes.
