Dusman Okee, brother to the Democratic President Norbert Mao

Dusman Okee, an independent and a brother to Democratic Party (DP) President General, Nobert Mao, was Tuesday elected LCI chairman.

He defeated rivals to take the Bukaya West village LCI seat in Njeru Municipality, Buikwe District.

Okee garnered 150 votes followed by Arikangelo Unzima (NRM) who came second with 20 votes while two pulled out of the race rejecting the idea of people lining up behind them.

Ernest Ssenyonjo retained his seat in Bukaya East village, Njeru Central Division in Buikwe District.

The Electoral Commission (EC) cancelled the Aldina Village LCI chairperson election after it was marred by chaos.

NRM-leaning Henry Jackson Batambuze was declared chairman of Main Street East village.

EC Presiding Officer, Josephine Adong, declared Batambuze unopposed.
