The Inspector General of Police (IGP) John Martins Okoth-Ochola and a team of six directors met police officers in the region on his second day visit after the Bushenyi visit yesterday.
The meeting took place at White Horse Hotel in Mbarara town.
The IGP stressed professionalism and total observance and respect of human rights.
He also informed police officers that police management had reinstated the old police ranks of Head Constable Major, Head Constable and Station Sergeant to fill the command gaps at lower administrative levels but also to instill discipline.
The team is now on the road to Masaka.
