Daniel Mbaziira, a fourth year medical student, has been declared the new Guild president of the university.

The Gulu University electoral Commission chairperson, Evaristo Onen Ocheng, on Monday declared Mbaziira winner after getting 1,239 votes followed by James Ojok Onono, a second year Public Administration student who got 490 votes.

Joyce Halima Reeni got 37 votes, Bithum Eric Opondo got 20 votes, and Johnson Noowe got 201 votes while Wilfred Nyeko managed only 3 votes.
