Sports Club Villa Jogoo made easy work of fourth division side, Kampala Junior Team (KJT), winning 3-0 in the second quarter final of 2017/18 Stanbic Uganda Cup tournament at Star Times Stadium, Lugogo on Sunday.
George Senkaaba scored the opener in the 10th minute.
Martin Kizza successfully converted a kick from the penalty spot in the 28th minute as the Jogoos doubled the lead heading to the half time break.
Ambrose Kirya scored the final goal 20 minutes from full time with a left footed shot inside the goal area.
Sports Club Villa Jogoo now joins Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Football Club in the semi-finals.
The two other quarter finals will be played next weekend.
This years’ Uganda Cup tournament is proudly sponsored by Stanbic Uganda Limited.
The winner of this championship will pocket Shs. 30M with the runners up assured of Shs20M.
The losing semi-finalists will each bag Shs10M and quarter finalists 5M each.
KCCA is the reigning champion after defeating West Nile side Paidha Black Angels 2-0 away at the Bet Way Green Light Stadium in Arua.
This year’s final will be hosted by the North East region in Kumi Municipality (exact playing field will be confirmed).
