There were dramatic scenes outside court as security agencies re-arrested Sheikh Dbr. Ismail Kalule, one of the suspects in the 2010 Lugogo twin blasts, just after he was given bail.
Kalule was re-arrested by anti-terrorism officers on his way to the court cells where he was to be cleared by prison officers.
The incident happened outside International Crimes Division of the High Court in Kampala.
Kalule, who has been on remand over terrorism was granted Shs20m noncash bail by Justice Moses Mukiibi.
On May 26, 2016, Kalule was acquitted of terror charges over the July 11, 2010 Kampala double bombings.
After the court’s verdict, plain clothes security personnel arrested and whisked away.
The incident left his mother and other relatives had come to pick him, crying endless tears.
