Ochola redeploys officers Kayihura tried to ruin

Inspector General of Police [IGP] Okoth Ochola has transferred and appointed 23 gazetted officers.

Ochola started with officers at the rank of Senior Commissioner of Police (SCP) and Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) who prior worked under former IGP General Kale Kayihura.

According to reports, these senior officers were attached to Kayihura’s office and made redundant as a way of punishing them.

Stephen Tanui has been appointed as the deputy commandant Field Force Unit.

Richard Edyegu was appointed Deputy Director Legal Services.

Anne Tusiime is now the new deputy director Construction Division while Henry Turyahirwa is appointed Deputy Director Welfare.

Lawrence Niwabiine is now the Commissioner in-charge Welfare and Ester Akwango has been transferred to the Criminal Investigations Directorate [CID] headquarters.
