Kampala Capital City Authority [KCCA] football club on Saturday made history when it qualified to the CAF Champions League.
According to Uganda Media Centre, KCCA FC is the first Ugandan club to qualify to the Confederation of African Football [CAF] Champions League group stages.
“History has been made. Uganda is proud of you,” media centre tweeted.
KCCA made its record after beating Ethiopian side St George (Saint-George FC) at Startimes stadium in the capital Kampala.
Muhammad Shaban scored the winning goal for KCCA FC in the 47th minute throwing the crowd into a near riot.

“You have made us proud. Congratulations on your @CAF_Online Champions League group stages qualification. First Ugandan team to make it to the continental level – bring it home,” the club tweeted.
Federation of Uganda Football Association [FUFA] President Moses Magogo and club chairman Ashaba Aggrey were present as the team carried the day.
KCCA FC now advances to group stages.
