Police is on the trail of 14 prisoners who escaped from Kyotera police station on Thursday as the world celebrated women’s day.
According to the report, the incident happened in the morning during a routine cell check.
The fled through a hole they had dug in the wall of the cell.
Godfrey Babaranda, the officer-in-charge of the station and Musa Kayongo, the District Police Commander, are on the spot for trying to cover up the incident.
The prisoners range from abductors, defilers, rapists and thieves.
When caught, they will charged with escape from lawful custody and damage of government property.
