CMI arrests another Magara murder suspect

The Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) has arrested a second suspect in the kidnap and murder of actress and accountant, Susan Magara.

The suspect only identified as Bob is being held at Nalufenya detention centre in Jinja district.

It was Bob’s voice that was captured in the recorded communication between the kidnappers and Magara’s father John Magara.

Bob was picked by police when his co-accused Ronald Asiimwe alias Kanyankore was arrested by the CMI operatives, according to Brig Abel Kandiho, the Chief of Military Intelligence.

Bob also known as Kibirango and another suspect only identified as Sejusa were cornered by Joint Anti-Terrorism Taskforce (JATT) offices and Police Flying Squad Unit.

The key suspect, Ronald Asiimwe a.k.a Kanyankore, in the murder of Susan Magara has been in and out of prison on similar crimes in the past.

Magara was kidnapped on February 7 and her body was later recovered at Kitiko off Entebbe road on February 27.
