The Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang18 are here. Get to watch Nigeria’s break-out bobsled team, Kenya’s alpine skiing champ and Ghana’s skeleton athlete compete for gold.
From Friday 9 February to Sunday 25 February, Kwesé TV will deliver all the live action from PyeongChang straight to your living room, on a special dedicated channel Olympics HD channel 306.
These winter games are marked by a series of firsts for the continent. East Africa will be represented by Sabrina Simader, who will become the first female and alpine skier to compete for Kenya at the Winter Olympics.
Similarly, Nigeria will make its debut at the Winter Olympic Games with an all-female contingent comprised of skeleton athlete Simidele Adeagbo and bobsleigh team Seun Adigun, Ngozi Onwumere and Akuoma Omeoga.
Also representing the continent will be Ghanaian skeleton athlete Akwasi Frimpong. Frimpong will be the only African man competing in the PyeongChang18 games, he is also Ghana’s second-ever winter Olympian.
Kwesé will give African sports lovers a front row seat to cheer on our continent’s phenomenal winter sports athletes on a Kwesé exclusive Olympics pop up channel.
The channel will provide 24 hour coverage of the games and will be available on the go through Kwesé’s multiple device viewing options.
Moreover, Kwesé Free Sports will provide live coverage of certain sports, the channel will also broadcast two 60 minutes highlights shows which will help viewers catch up on the day’s scores and memorable moments.
The Olympic News and Highlights Shows will air at 09h00 and 16h00 CAT daily so be sure to tune in.
