Wandegeya police are holding seven men in custody for allegedly inciting violence and holding unlawful procession.

Poor Youth stormed areas around Wandegeya traffic lights causing road blockage, disruption of business and bringing traffic flow to a standstill.

The situation was handled successfully by police.

Eight suspects identified as Musoke Elias, Muwanguzi Samuel, Magala Steven, Ssemakula Eric, Magabe Robert, Muhiirwe Jimmy and Kaggwa Vicent put into custody.

It’s believed that a team of over 150 youth have been mobilised under “One way campaign” with intention of disrupting the city by putting business and traffic flow to a standstill which actions we will and cannot accept to happen”, Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesman Owoyesigyire Luke, said.

While interacting with the ringleader of the group, Kaggwa Vicent, said their planned unlawful demonstration at Wandegeya traffic lights was aimed at giving accountability to their financiers.
