Police in Bushenyi district is holding seven people in connection with the murder of a 70 year-old man Yorokamu Kaguruka, a resident of Katimba cell in Kakanju Sub County.
James Musinguzi, the officer in charge of criminal intelligence and investigations department Bushenyi district, said the suspects under custody include a wife to the deceased, Harriet Kakwanzi and her son only identified as Bonani, a boda boda cyclist in Ishaka town who has been parking at Rwenzori stage in Ishaka Municipality.
He, however, declined to reveal names of other suspects to avoid jeopardizing on-going investigations into the killing.
He said their true identity will be revealed once police concludes investigations.
The suspects are all residents of Katimba cell in Kakanju Sub County Bushenyi district.
Musinguzi said the late Kaguruka is believed to have been stemmed out of a family wrangle. The suspects learnt about his plan of selling off family land.
