FUFA has announced French national Sébastien Desabre, 41, as the new head coach of the Uganda national football team, The Cranes.
FUFA recommended Moses Basena for a special coaching development programme.
Desabre tendered in his resignation letter to his employers Ismaily in Egypt early this week before he flew out of Cairo.
Last week the Federation announced that Desabre together with former Rwanda coach Johnny McKinstry (Northern Irish, 32 years), Emilio Ferrera (Belgian, 50 years) and current Cranes interim coach Moses Basena had made it to the final.
He replaces the Serbian coach Milutin Sredojevic who left for a South African coaching job.
